Deanna ensures the success of STMS students by collaborating with classroom teachers to create technology lessons that support teaching objectives. She also facilitates the Rosestta Stone program, which introduces STMS students to a second language.
Deanna found her passion for education after she raised her children, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Washington University. Along with working for the Anacortes School District as a Librarian, Deanna has taught K-8th grade in the Catholic School system. Deanna started her teaching tenure at STMS in 2013, teaching 4th grade. The following year she transitioned to become the Technology Teacher where she revamped the curriculum, ensuring STMS students have the skillset to be successful in the 21st century.
One of Deanna’s favorite activities is spending time with her family and friends. Deanna has two adult children and one granddaughter. She loves to cook for her family and friends, play with her granddaughter, go on long walks, and play candy crush!
